Stall when down shifts

I have a 2016 Colorado.  When you go around a corner and the truck slows, it seems to down shift but looses power.  It almost stalls.  Mashing on the pedal doesn't help.  It takes quite a while and usually a loud thump to get moving back to speed.  I have seen other forums with this same issue in the past, but I have never seen anyone have a solution or Chevy even admit there is a problem.  Any new news?

Hi Stacey, I have a canyon and had an issue of stutter or a delay when pressing the pedal down after letting off the gas. My solution was replacing the canister purge valve. I no longer have the problem anymore. Not sure if it's the same problem with a Colorado, but I hope this helps.
