So my rear brake line busted from the abs module back In my 2001 all my other brake lines seem rust free and looks to have been replaced not to long before me buying it. This line though is covered in rust. I went ahead and cut the rusted line out and went to try to get the nut out that’s right before the hose that goes into the splitter in the back with a socket But this nut is stripped like no other. I even tried Vice grips as a last resort but no luck. My question is that connection where the brake line goes into the hose is there anywhere online I can order that or am I stuck fighting with a stripped bolt. I haven’t touched the bolt near the abs though it seems to be fine and doesn’t looked stripped just a pain to get to. Any help or advice is appreciated!

Been there, always got it,after a while, try moving visegrips 90°, basically making it oval in a different spot, then try another spot, and I have hurt my hands trying to squeeze them so tight

Wow that looks like it came off a sunk pirate ship!

Is that a caliper brake line?  They are rather cheap

It’s where the brake line goes into a hose and then into the splitter before going off into each wheel. I’m looking into that now to see how hard it’s going to be to get that hose part out and just replace it as at this rate may be simpler than toying with that nut.

Rock auto has the Dorman SS brake lines, installed them on my 01 Dodge RAM fit and finish was perfect.     They even carry all of the flex lines which you absolutely need to replace.   If you change everything out the job gets a whole lot easier with no busted hands !!  ???

Thanks guys all my other lines look brand new looks like prev owner just didn’t fool with the stripped Nut on the rusty line I’ve ordered the hose for the center rear and will replace that on my next off day this weekend. I’ll also check the others on the calipers as well then too since those can be picked up at autozone as they usually have them in stock if those are gone as well.
