Recall n192261050 question

Hello All,  Received another notice from GM regards to recall N192261050  reprogram EBCM.

Has anyone had this completed yet? I hesitate taking it to the dealer because my truck is

reprogrammed for performance. If the recall is done would this screw with the programming

that has been done?

I was wondering the same thing!!! Very hesitant to take it in being its out of warranty due to being the second owner and having 190000 miles.

i think it will, because even though it is the ebcm they reprogram it is tied into the tcm and ecm for stabiltrack and traction control

I just had the recall done. I did not do anything negative to the program I have do the ECM.

Truck runs exactly like it did before the dealer

did the recall.

Yeah what I posted is rather unclear. lol  My 14 has a aftermarket tune installed. I was leery about getting the recall

done due to the aftermarket tune. I left the tune in and just had the recall completed.  Everything came out well.

The truck runs strong now as it did before the recall.  No ill effect for haveing the recall done.

Hope it makes sense now. Gotta remember im 70 and get confused sometimes.!

It wont do anything to your tune unless the program has to specifically do with a part of your tune. For instance if they programmed something to do with the fuel data/curves then yes it would override that part of your fuel tune but not other parts of your tune. Plus it's not like you couldn't just put your tune back in.
