Tranny Slip n Bump among other problems

Ok so I just bought a '14 Denali with the 6.2L and 6L80E tranny. I got a check engine light a couple times that came back as a gas pedal sensor malfunction. I cleared the codes in hopes it would correct itself. On a side note the truck went into safety mode in traffic right after I bought it so, I pulled over and turned it off restarted and was fine. Anyways just wondering if the tranny slipping has anything to do with the throttle pedal sensor malfunctioning. Also had problems with headlights. I tried upgrading to LED and they would just turn off shortly after turning them on sometimes they came back on other times no luck so I tried a set of HIDs one side worked the other didn't then when I swapped sides neither worked. Also tried 2 different sets of the LEDs with no luck, so I went back to OEM What a pain in the ass cause the LEDs were WAY brighter and looked how they should look. And one final issue is I installed a set of 10'' subs under back seat and Im getting constant engine noise through the subs and I rewired it twice and made sure ground was solid to no avail. lots of annoying ass shit on this truck let me tell you. Other then all that I love the truck. Thanks for reading thank again if you reply with helpful info

I think I can help with the sub noise.  You need to clip or unhook the wires to the noise cancellation microphones.

Edit:. Found this

You have a engine/transmission labeling mixed up, it may help you if you have the right info when searching.

The LS3 is a previous GEN 4 engine. You have a GEN V 6.2 L86 Direct Injected EcoTech3 engine and the transmission is a 6 speed 6L80e being that it's a 2014 model year.

Thanks this gives me something else to look at on that issue. I will try the ANC wire cut as I don't want to have to not be able to use the mics. Thanks for the info.

Electrical problems don’t fix themselves, but maybe it will cause you’re not new to cars/trucks/bikes.

trans issues would follow if the CEL is ok for certain things. I’d say throttle drive by wire would be one of them.

getting the info right before you ask for help is important.

never mentioned the mileage.

Welcome to the site.

The transmission issues could be many, torque converter could be going out, you may need to have it flushed and refilled with the new fluid, and so on.

You did not mention your miles, but you can check with a local dealer for service records to see what has been done.

What part of Washington are you in?

Thank you for the great info. I am in Gold Bar, not far from Stevens Pass, about an hour outside Seattle. As far as miles the truck has about 80,000 miles. It was a lease return so its in pretty good shape. I had towed a toy hauler to Idaho and back recently which is when I first noticed any issues with the shifting. So maybe it is the fluid or hopefully not the converter.

Sorry if I came off abrasive but I am not new to the auto community and its annoying when people take the time to write a reply to a thread correcting your thread, but offering no other input. Thanks for your input and Id have to disagree on the electrical not fixing itself on occasion. Electrical is in my opinion the biggest pain in the ass to diagnose and many times if you simply turn of and on the problem will go away. Yes I get it I could just replace the part but why would that be the first action when a lot of times it does go away if you reset or restart it, for example I've had the truck several months now and since it went into safety mode when I first bought it and I restarted the truck it hasn't happened again since then. anyways to answer your other question it has about 80k miles on it. And just so you know I like to help others as much as possible with issues if I have first hand knowledge and do not give people shit for being new or inexperienced. I also know I can search stuff but I am far too busy running a business to read through tons of info to try and find an answer which is why I joined a forum to gain help through other peoples experiences and interact with others in a productive way. Thanks again for the input

You are very welcome.

I am right between Seattle and Tacoma in Auburn.

Search the site here, lots of posts about the issue you are having with the transmision, some have found solutions, some still trying.

We had to replace the converter in our 16 Tahoe, fortunately was still under warranty.

You just kind of summed up the site in one sentence.

Be patient, weed through the BS, and you will get some good input. The annoying ones like to stir the pot and see what kind of response they will get from you (which can be fun too), so you can ignore and move on or play the game.

6L80 bases its shift on wheel speed and throttle input. GM has been known for bad gas pedals, start with replacing the pedal first and then go from there. Also the mounting bracket on the 2014+ for the gas pedal is complete trash so while you are in there reinforce it.
