Anyone have a pic of the spoiler (3rd brakelight) removed off the cab?

Not sure what GM engineering was thinking on this design. Build a dam and theoretically it should not leak, but even the HOOVER DAM leaks. The engineer that designed this should be stripped of his degree and made to wash windows at GM CORPORATE offices. As for GM they are sitting there with potential for a lot of expensive repair cost, as these vehicle get older.

Just the rear area, I took off plastic rear panels (that house seat belt), hanger hooks above rear windows and side panels that house front belts. You can then gentle and carefully pull far rear End of headliner away from rear window trim.

oh and also pull rear overhead light, pulls straight down with 2 clips.

Davidj98, how did you get the yellow clips that hold the spoiler on to release? I can’t seem to figure out how to get something on them to squeeze them enough to release the spoiler.

Just helped a friend pull his today, I ended up shaking and pulling, if feels like you going to break them but they will release. There are only two yellow plastic clips.  Metal is also thin where they connect, the hole was a bit deformed, so we used a smaller hammer to make metal flat again around the hole were clip connects. I don’t think there is access to those clips from cab.

Also make sure small black washer is is still around clip before reinstall, they fall off easily.

Thanks! I was so worried about breaking those clips that I was afraid to pull on the spoiler too much. After reading your response, I went out this morning and was able to remove the spoiler and install my new 3rd brake light. I appreciate the info!
