Dog House?

There is no dog house on a 1500 truck. They have a dog house in the express/savanna vans though. (dog house being the interior engine access area)

Wont he be limited to GMC front end though?  I always thought gmc had a Slightly unique hood and headlight design Compared to the chevy cousin.
Yeah, none of chevy fenders/hood, etc. will work without changing the whole nose. I believe all 99-06 gmc fenders, hoods and lights are the same, 03 changed the bumper and grille. The yukon never got the facelift though, so all yukon parts to 06 should work. Not sure about a 2500 or 3500 though. The 99-02 chevys were different.

The front end GM parts are similar for GMT800's, but they do slightly change over time.  Basically, small improvements to increase strength with additional braces internally and between parts, and to fix problems (like additional spots to attach wiring harnesses for example).  So, getting body panels from the same year or newer would be best.  From the parts swapping I've done (doors and fenders), they are similar across the models (1500/2500/3500) other than the grille, which can have a 2" spacer along the bottom if the body has a 2" body lift installed.

And, depending on what color truck you have, the colors may or may not match. I have an '04 Sierra in Silver Birch, and made the mistake of buying an earlier silver-colored door (I think from an '01), and didn't notice until it was on the truck that the shade was slightly off (and GM gave it a different name as well).

I have no idea which, if any, Chevy parts would look right/fit with a GM truck of that era.  Doors would be more likely, front fenders and hood probably not because of how the front grille & lights are different between the two brands.
