Shocks

I have used every shock Rancho makes on lots of rigs in the past. I'm now trying to pick between RSX's, 5000's or trying the Edelbrocks on my 03 Suburban 2500. Anyone have experiences with moderate towing? I'm pulling a 12' single axle with 1300 lbs worth of ATVs plus gear, kids, dog etc. Price is not an issue, as long as I only buy ONE set of shocks! The 5000's ride rough all of the time, (this is my wife's daily driver) but I'm not sure if the RSXs will be stiff enough for towing. Please let me know about your experience with the Edelbrocks. Are they worth the price or is it just hype?

I totally hated the edelbrocks on my 97 GMC yukon(lowered, 20*10 rims and 305/45 20 Pireeli Scorpions) they blew at 3 months on usage. Ive also gone through 3 sets of Rancho 5000's, so far the new 9000's have been holding up. If these go anytime soon , I would go with the Bilsteins.

I put Bilstein HD's on my Rado at around 36k. The ride is firm, but not rough. I go over expansion strips in concrete and the truck isn't bouncing like you're at the rodeo. Rough roads are nicely improved as well.

How are you blowing these shocks out? I had 5000's on an '80 Bronco that routinely saw air time in the Olympic Mountains and I never broke one.
