2000 k3500 oil filter adapter

Hey guys, so I’ve been doing a lot of reading. While under my plow truck I noticed the oil filter adapter (with 2 cooling lines running into it) is leaking oil.

Found the main seal, 12555554

I’m guessing I should replace the line seals too, does anyone know those part numbers?

Looks pretty forward to get it out, some show a square drive to get the bolts out, some show torx.

If anyone has the torque spec for those bolts, i would also appreciate it!

Hope the lines don’t have holes. I could always delete the oil cooler too it appears, but more research would need to be done on the replacement plate and requires bolts.

Thanks!!

Look up those parts on rockauto.  I would suggest NOT deleting the oil cooler just to save a few bucks and not replace the lines if they are leaking, your engine will thank you.

I did more research and found the kit. Felpro makes a kit and AC delco sells just the main o ring. I plan to keep the adapter in place. I think I'll order both even though the felpro kit comes with the main o ring as well. I've read mixed reviews on the dorman kit for sure. Dorman has almost always treated me well. Felpro has been fantastic. ACDELCO is by far the best though.

I really do appreciate all of your info! Just need to figure out what style bolts they are to remove, I've reach some are a square drive just under 3/8" (which is very strange), and some are covers you have to remove and then there are torx bits (t25 i think, if i recall).

I feel like I owe you a few beers thus far.... :)
