2010 Silverado hesitates when starting up.

When I start my truck first time after sitting more than a couple of hours it hesitates when starting. Also if I push on the gas quickly and let off it almost stalls when engine is cold. I also got a P0446 code. Would evap system make this happen and where do I start troubleshooting? I have a cheap scan tool that only shows me what codes I have.

A fella on another forum was also chasing this code and had a hesitation on cold start ups.  Neither of us thought it would make a difference but when he changed the purge valve behind the alternator, the code and the hesitation went away.
