DIFFERENTIAL NOISE

I have a 2003HD Chevy with a G80 locking rear end. It's a 10.5" ring gear full floating axle. When I back up it pops. Every morning when backing out of the garage it will pop. It does not do this everytime I back up though. Does it about 60% of the time. I've talked to four different dealerships.

Two of them say this is normal and the other two say it isn't.

Have any of you had this problem and what did you have done about it? There is no noise when driving forward.
