I'm a newbie here and I think I originally posed this in the wrong forum so here goes again.

I have a 2001 Sierra with a rough steering wheel.  I have a 1999 Blazer with a like new steering wheel. They look the same except for the logo on the air bag. I plan to get rid of the Blazer soon. Is it possible to swap the steering wheels so I would have a nice Steering wheel in the Sierra?  Thanks in advance for your help!

I know this is an old post but I just did a swap from a 05 Escalade to an 03 suburban and it was plug and play.

I know the 99-03 GMT800s have the steering wheel without buttons and after searching online the 99 Blazer has the same steering wheel so I would bet it would be a direct swap.  If anyone has tried it let us know.

I know this was a necro but I'll post

99-02 steering wheels have a different spline than 03-07 classic steering wheels. The only way to get those steering wheels to work is by swapping the entire steering column OR swapping the spline. Not a hard job but a definitely tedious one.

The airbags also are different. Only an 03-04 HD airbag will work in the 99-02 single stage system.
