Front camera on my 2017 Sierra

Hey guys. I thought I would post up my newly installed front camera that I just put on my truck. This is the first DIY video that I have ever done. Any comments or criticisms are greatly appreciated.

Very well done, looks like a very clean install.

Not to criticize, but how quickly can you switch it, if you are pulled over? I would think the forward video would definitely be considered as distracted driving.

It is a great add if you are off road, or in a tight parking situation to be able to see how close or far you are from something.

Really good resolution, do they make one for the back up camera?

Thank you. I’ve been wanting to put this in for a while now.

It turns off super fast. Either go back to the home screen on the radio or just turn off the fogs. It will be off 99% of the time anyway.

I plan to use it mostly in off-road situations. I’m out in the desert quite a bit. It’s already come in handy. It’s unbelievable how convenient it is to have a camera in the front and the rear.

This was just the first cheap one that I found on Amazon. They have plenty of cameras listed as backup cameras available. They are usually in the $30 range. Doesn’t hurt to just try one and see if you like it.
