Service Theft Deterrent system

First time posting. Had my truck for 6 days less than 130 miles. Tried to program my second FOB but only one would program. Now I get the message on start up. did the programming by the manual a couple of times but get the same results. Anyone experiencing this?

I did the same thing and now have the same issue. Did you ever get it fixed?

I tried adding a second key too according to the instructions and it failed due to not being the "right" second key.  Ended up having to limp it to the deal and buying a "correct" 2nd $500 fob, and 1hr labor.  I think the instructions for DYI are not correct, and something as simple as adding a second fob is needlessly locked by GM.
