Body work questions!

Calling all you body experts!! My truck was adjusted a few days ago after my deer incident. Here is what they told me. He says my left front fender, bumper, bumper cover, front valence, left headlight, left corner marker and grille are going to be replaced. The core support has to be pulled out some. He also said they are going to fix my hood and door. The hood will be repaired, blended and clear the whole thing. Same goes for the door. Strip all the crap off of it, pull the small dents, blend it and clear the whole door.

Now my question is this. Is it a bad idea for them to just blend the door and hood?? Or is this method OK? I have no idea if it is or not. I kinda wondered why they wouldnt paint the whole hood and door. Then again I cant force my insurance company to pay for something Im pretty know they wont. What should I do here??

Thanks in advance!

Blending paint (especially in colors like yours) is normal. That way it is less likely to look like it's been repaired.

I'm sure you have seen cars/trucks on the road where there is an obvious color change at a fender or door seam. These vehicles did not have the paint blended to match.

I'm not saying that you may not be able to notice a slight difference on your truck when it is done, but it shouldn't be obvious to the common Joe that looks at your truck as you drive by. If the work is blended in correctly, then your truck will look as good as new!!!
