Daytime running lights

I'm assuming others have the same issue of repeated blown low beam headlights on 2007 model GM truck's. Pre 1999 gmc running lights used the front marker / turn signal lights for the DRL's.

After that they use the low beam headlight causing me to burn through lamps constantly.

Is there a way that I can disconect the DRL's from the low beams and attach them to my front marker / turn signals as with the pre 1999 with the lamps being the normal Amber lens stop turn style ?

Easier to just get the AC Delco/GM bulbs at your dealer. They last for several years. If you go for the Silverstar/Ultra xtra-white type of bulbs at the auto part stores, you’ll be changing them out at least once, if not twice a year. Also, if you have auto headlights, if you turn the knob counterclockwise at startup, it turns off the DRLs.
