Anyone have a "rattle" .. mid/right dash area?

Noticeable over small repetitive bumps going 20-40 mph.

It almost sounds like a loose wiring harness in the dash banging around...

Also could be suspension related, but sounds VERY much like its inside the truck..

02 Tahoe in this case.

Its just a light "tuh...tuh tuh... tuh" ... almost sounds like plastic on plastic?

Any ideas?

I think that I have the same thing. I notice it when the right front tire hits a bump. Does sound like it's in the cap, and its like a muffled plastic on plastic sound. Mine is not that bad, and will have someone else drive it while I search for the source. Other than that minor noise my truck is truely noise free. I am amazed at how silent this truck is.

I have a 2003 Silverado ext. cab 2 X 4 and whenever I go over a bump on the road I get a squeek. Sounds like it comes from the passenger door area but can't tell for sure. Other than the squeek the truck runs very quiet, but I sure would like to get that squeek fixed it drives me crazy!

Thats exactly what I am talking about. I have been trying to locate it from the passenger seat for 3 days now.

If you find out what it is shoot me an email or reply to the post again.

Check the three screws that hold the top of your dash into the dash supports. These are the ones up by the windshield in the middle of the vents. Mine were loose and made the dash rattle like the way you have been describing it.

good luck.

If the sound kinda resonates around the passenger side mid air around the air bag height...sometimes you think it's loose suspension or exhaust...do you have the stock engine air intake box...check it to see if it is seated properly.
