anyone have the addressee for gmpp so i can send some correspodence? i bought my truck 7/28/03 and with the final payment close to what i expected and 500 miles from home with kids didnt pay very close attention to my paperwork. i didnt realize the dealer added a gmpp w/o me knowing it!!! i wont release the dealer name yet because i am hoping they'll fix this. when i picked up the truck i specifcally told them i wanted only gap insurnace.

two days ago i go to my local shop and was asked how much i paid for my gmpp by one of the guys working there. i said what!? sure nough it shows i bought a gmpp. i did get a card from gmpp, all this time i thought this gmpp was FREE. so called gmpp and they said i bought one but i waited too long to call them for full reimbursement. so i call the dealer and was transfered from person to person and finally explained my problem to my seller. i was told i would get a call back from finance and of course two days later no call back! first, how can gmpp not reimburse me fully? i never signed anything......im no legal scholar, but in order for there to be a binding gmpp wouldnt i need to sign a contract!?????? second, i wonder if this dealer is pulling this crap on others? i think i may have to contact a lawyer....im being spun.

Are you SURE you didn't sign for it? When you buy a new rig there is always a ton of paperwork. Maybe it got slipped in then.

But since you (seemingly) already have the extra warranty protection what's the beef? Are you selling the truck? Is there some reason you don't want a longer warranty? Seems to me that you might want to hold onto it, just in case the truck needs some $$ service.

BIGPUNN,

The no. to GMPP is (800)631-5590. They will cancel it over the phone. I sell thes policies and hate to hear stories of what some bus. mgrs will do. These numbnuts give us all a bad name. I would start with the GM at the store and ask to see the policy that you signed. Tell him what happened and he should reimburse you the difference of what you are able to cancel through GMPP. You should get 90% back from GMPP.
