I was just reading your signature... the part about never forgetting the people of TWA. I presume you are talking about TWA Flight 800??? If so, I will never forget that. It happened on my birthday, July 17th. I don't remember what the year was (96 or 97). :)

caspar139,

Sorry it took so long to reply but I was out of town for the last four days. My TWA statement was not flt800 specific but more for the entire famly of TWA. It was july 17, 1996...July 18, 1996 was my first day of employment with the airline's flight department. A captain friend on mine wife-to-be was on that flight it was a truely big loss for him.

Although I was only with TWA eight years I quickly became part of the family and realized what they have all gone though over the years. Then, when everyone thought American Airlines was going to save us it was like a big weight had been lifted. Don Carty the CEO stated and promissed in front of congress "fair and equitable treatment of all TWA employees". The papers were signed and it went to the unions....pilots: 2/3s were stapeled to the bottom of the seinority list then the first 1/3 was dove tailed from the bottom make our number one pilot with 35years seniorty now 4,000 or so on the list! As for the flight attendants they were all stapeled to the bottom of there list. As of July ALL TWA flight attendants were layed off...some with 40years seniorty. Out of 2600 pilots there are only 600 to 800 left! It is behind me now but I will never forget the family that was TWA...nor will I ever forget standing on line outside and around a furneral home, with what seemed to be the entire employee group of TWA. We were waiting to get inside to see a flight attendent friend who commited suicide.

Sorry I know this is chapter is only for 4X4 but I was only trying to answer a question. Also if there are any American employees that I have offended we both know what went on and this is not the place to open up a discission about what we think is fair. I am only stating facts not opinions.

Now about these great trucks that we drive!!!! :D:lol::lol::wtf:

1BADHD,

Would you know what Bilsteins to go with a leveled out front end on a 04 GMC Sierra 2500HD 4X4? I am going to go with the Bilsteins everyone seems to like them. :D

You need one that has 2-3" more travel than the stock. So measuer the stock shock at full extended length and ad 2-3 inches. Bilstein may make theirs that length already. Hope this helps some.

Hey -

I'm currenty running the Rancho 9000's on my 2500HD. They really do a good job, and the ability to adjust them makes them perfect for all types of conditions.
