compass temp mirror install

Anyone done this on a 2001/2 HD? I want to put the temp/compass mirror in my truck, along with the remote CD changer and some factory lights. I was wondering if there were wires in the truck ready and hidden to get this done easily.

My friend had it done in his truck which was an '02. It didn't have the option in it and he had the dealer install it for him. I don't know what it cost... but I think that since GM is using basically an universal wiring harness, that most of the wires are there... You may have to run a lead out to the temp probe though... I think the compass is in the mirror unit itself. I do know that there is some calibration stuff that has to take place after the install, like latitude etc... along with driving in a circle three times.
