Confusion on ordering parts

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone. I’m new to the forum and browsed for a bit to find my answer before I decided to post about it. The paperwork for my truck says 2019 Silverado LD K1500 LT. I want to order a few things like floor mats and side rail steps. I am just worried I’ll get the wrong parts because even though my truck says 2019 it is the same model style as the 2018. If I look for 2019 parts will it be for the new generation of truck? Should I do my searches for parts as 2018?

You are correct to be cautious before ordering.  If it were me, I’d make sure anything I ordered fit a  2018 as well before I ordered it since as you know, your 2019 LD is really the same truck as a 2018.

Thanks. I’ll make sure I do that. I appreciate the response.

Treat that truck as  2018 because technically it's all 2018 parts

Good to know. I was confused because some sites list the LD as a model option for 2019, but others don’t. None list the LD as an option for 2018. Should I assume I just choose 1500 double cab for that 2018 selection?

Yes

Technically a half ton is an LD

It even says that on my 2018 build sheets

2016, 2017, 2018 are the years compatible with your 2019 “classic” K2xx Generation.

2014 and 2015 are K2xx gen as well but with different front clip, no CarPlay, android auto, etc
