2001 K2500, 6.0L

Vehicle dies after start and run from a cold start. Runs for 20 to 30 minutes or so then dies. Won't start for about 20 minutes or so then starts and runs fine till the next time it dies. Have an electrical odor after truck dies. No check engine lights or codes stored. Almost seems like something electrical is heating up to a point that it shuts the truck off then cools to a point that the truck starts and runs again. Reminded me of an ignition control module heating up and cooling down, but the truck does not have one.

Two weeks ago had a battery with a bad cell in, replaced the battery, have not had an issue until now, about two weeks. Checked out cables and cables terminal ends all check out. Good tight connections. Any ideas?

Pinpoint that smell,relay center under hood?does fuel pump run when cranking?

Smell is around battery, fuse box and ecm. Have to check fuel pump next time it dies

Replaced the ECM Truck ran fine for a day. then died again. fuel pump is coming on with KOEO after it dies and won't restart
