Chrome fascia strips removed from factory running boards

Yes, no damage was done to them, just go slow and use a heat gun.

I worked my way along the strip, heating a foot or so then carefully pulling/prying it loose. I used some fairly soft wedges to aid in pulling it loose.

eta: I removed both end caps from the running boards too.

how did you get the end caps off? Wrap didn't stick well, so just removing now.
