diyer2 Posted April 27, 2020 Posted April 27, 2020 It's fishing season again. I drive in the dark more this time of year going fishing in the early mornings. It's 45 miles of mountain roads to get to the lake towing the boat. I'm thinking of adding an LED light bar in the lower slot in the bumper of my truck. My question is wiring it. I have the all lights on mod from boost auto installed. This is the part https://boostautoparts.com/products/6hi The light bar I'm looking at. https://www.amazon.com/iJDMTOY-LED-Bar-Lightbar-Mounting/dp/B01KIWKPZE/ref=au_as_r?_encoding=UTF8&Make=GMC%7C48&Model=Sierra%201500%7C548&Year=2012%7C2012&ie=UTF8&n=15684181&newVehicle=1&s=automotive&vehicleId=1&vehicleType=automotive#customerReviews I'm thinking of having the LED light bar wired to the Fog light switch. This way I could turn the LED light bar on with the fog light switch and have the lows beams also. When I turn the high beams on all the lights would come on, highs, lows, fogs and LED bar I think. My wiring question is about the trigger wire for the LED light bar. What wire do I hook the trigger wire to? I think its the wire labeled OG - 192 (orange?) in this wiring schematic. Will this work?
