What's up guys. How many of you are plowing in your 2500 HD w/ the 6.0 & 4.10's? Mine is a SB Ext cab :wtf: . How does the truck handle the load? I'm thinking about getting one but am wondering if I should trade up to a Dmax first. Any recomendations on a set up? Myers? Fischer? Anyone, anyone? :sigh:

I have an 02 reg. cab with the 6.0 and a Fisher V-plow and it plows great! I usually throw some sand bags in the back for ballast but it even plows fine without them.

If your considering the Dmax, they will plow some snow.I have a 8 ft Meyers on my 2500HD cclb Dmax and with 2500 lbs in the bed I have plowed through snow drifts 5 ft deep.It is almost unstoppable.

I have a 02 2500HD 6.0 RCLB and it came with the snow prep package. Im running a heavyduty Boss straight blade 7'6 and it handles the snow great! And I run with about #700 in the bed not a problem.

HEY FELLOW PLOWHEADS !

Yup I'm another one puttin' that Chevy to work plowing

too! I have a Western 7-6 straight blade with Turkey

Wings.

These new GMs are sorta low to the ground....Some

ballast in the back will level them out some !

HEY WOLFIE !..........YOU missed the BBq in Poughkeepsie !

We had a good time.................geo

I was at the bbq. I even have my T-shirt to prove it. I left pretty early though, I wasn't feeling well and I still had a 45 minute drive home and then an hours ride to my girlfriends after that so I left just about the time John started his magic salt talk.

 Thanks guys. I'm already rockin' the 6. My main concern was stress on the motor and trans. I'll be doing mostly residential work but will also have two or three larger commercial accounts.
