2012 Sierra 1500 Transfer Case

Hello,

 I bought a 2012 Sierra 1500 and was change fluids last night when I notice what looks like JB weld along side the drain plug of the transfer case. I am guessing it was over tightened and cracked and my first question is : 1 - Can I replace the rear cover of the transfer case ? and 2 - can I change it in place are so I have to remove the entire transfer case ?  Thank you

You can look up parts for the MP3023 and I believe you would have to remove it and totally disassemble it to switch half the case out.
