I need to install a small inverter probably 500w or 750w to charge my laptop in the truck. Is there anywhere in the truck I can pull power from short of having to go to the battery?

I don't think that large of an inverter is needed to charge a laptop. I have a small 300 W that plugs into the cigarette lighter and it charged my old laptop just fine. With an inverter 500W-750W you have to be sure you can shut it off or you'll discharge the battery.
