Rear Hinged Windows

Like the topic says, in my 2000 Ex Cab 3 door can just the latches be replaced instead of the whole window assembly? I bought this truck and the latches are terrible. I don't think the previous owner had them replaced under TSB 99-08-48-001A. It seems both of the latches have had something break on them (small plastic tab on the inside of the latch molding).

I have and never will open mine (except for cleaning purposes). My 5 year old daughter wants to open them while going down the road and I almost pop an eyeball. Now she teases me with her little fingers on the latch, on the passenger side while going down the road.

 

I then have to promise something bad will happen to her if she opens it, like a snake will come from under the seat or she will be sucked right out that window!

You can chack and see if the previous owner had them replaced and if they didnt i think you can get them done under that tsb
