It takes quite a bit to get me worked up enough to break out the Louisville Slugger, but every once in a while some moron asks for it!

 

OK, so I came home today, and there was a couple messages on my machine.  One was for my Mom, and the other for me.  I don't know about you guys, but my messages consist of, "Hey, it's Matt, call me back when you get the message", or something to that effect.  This woman left a 3 minute and 43 second message!  I know because I broke out the stopwatch!  Are you kidding me, I was almost out of tape!  Stupid biatch!  

 

Then last night, I was at work and one of the new guys just decided he didn't feel like coming in to work that evening.  For those of you who don't know, I work in the busiest, and best, steak house in Albany, NY.  So if youdon't feel like working, I have to do your job along with mine!  Nothing like pumping out 325 dinners in 5 hours with 2 guys!  I wanted to drive over to his house and beat the **C**** *H** out of the *****R ***K** (Explatives deleted)!  You figure them out!  LOL  Anyways, just wondering what pisses you guys off also.  Stupid drivers and rice boys wantin to race do not count, because they piss us all off!

My biggest pet peeves are when people let their children ride around unrestrained in the open bed of a pickup while they drive around town and all; I also am driven nuts by people who do the same with their animals.  Luckily it is now illegal for people to do that here in Nevada and there is a few thousand dollar fine for being caught.  I just don't understand how a parent can put their child in the open bed of a pickup and think it is safe and that they won't get hurt in an accident.   :angry:  :angry:  :angry:  :angry:

 

I have a bunch of other pet peeves, but that is one of the biggest for me, I just can't understand how any good, loving parent can put their child/children in danger knowingly.   :angry:

Get ready for a long list.......

 

 

-When out of town people are passing through your neighborhood, and they decide to turn around in your driveway, and get stuck in your ditch, and tear your grass all up. (I almost took a bat to some guy's face for that, but I had only gotten there in time to see him leave the scene, and see the damage he had done).

 

 

- Catch phrases and special words like "This car is as powerful as all get out", or "My, what a *quaint* little town this is.". etc. (my mom says these things all the time, she sounds like a broken record!)

 

-When people claim they should be repayed for the injustice that was done to their ancesstors 20,000 years ago.

 

-When you go to a restaurant, ask to sit in Non-Smoking, and they sit you at the very edge of the Smoking\Non-Smoking border, and when you ask to be moved further away cause you can still breathe in the smoke, the waitresses all cop an attitude with you when you ask to be moved (It's a  simple task, not a freaking endeavor!.) I'm not talking about crowded hours niether BTW.

 

-When people yell and get mad over a simple, stupid, useless thing (haha, I bet that sounds really funny coming from me after all that stuff I just complained about.), Like butting in line or something like that.

 

-I really hate it when people condecend me, disrespect me, lie to me and talk about me behind my back. As the saying goes, "treat others as you want to be treated.".

I hate this new practice of telemarketers that leaves you a friendly, pre-recorded message if they get your voicemail / answering machine.  S/he always sounds like your best friend, right down to "umms" and "ahhs" like the speaker is live.  Unfortunately, my voicemail doesn't have an immediate delete or skip to end button!!

the biggest for me is posers.  they obviously are complete idiots because they have to copy someone else on everything.

- really stubborn people, the ones that NEVER admit they are wrong.

 

- people who say "everyone in alabama is a racist" and they have never even set foot in the state.

What got me going today was that, not once, but twice today I ended up being doorman to very ungrateful people.  You know how when you are going into a store or something and you end up holding the door open for someone coming out?  Usually, if someone does that, I'd at least say, "Thanks." or something to that effect.  The first guy just gave me a dirty look.  Later this afternoon, I ended up holding the door for this couple.  Neither of them even bothered to look up.  The guy even had the nerve to say, "Excuse me."  It pissed me off so I said, "You're welcomed."  The guy turned around and gave me a dirty look.  Then my wife elbowed me.   :angry:

I'll second third and foruth that.

 

Just about 30 minutes ago I was drivig a girl home and I've got the cruise set at 60 in the 55 zone and the freeway was all but deserted at 3 in the morning.  This guy gets right on my butt, and continues to move in, so I do what I always do and just stop going, I turned off the cruise and let the car coast.  What really ticked me off is that the guy was just trying to be a jackass because the left lane was completely free of traffic.  Eventually he passed me on the right.  And looking at him, I realized two things:

1. That had to be his dad's truck

2. Had he provoked me like that in a normal setting (not doing 60 on the freeway) he would've have been severly stomped.

 

 

Which brings me to my 2nd pet peeve:

 

People who think that racing is life and if they have the fastest vehicle then they are better than you.  Every weekend ricers choose the city I live in to cruise at night and if you get tangled up in it (mind you they use the biggest road in the area, so if you are going anywhere on the weekend you have to wade through the spoilers) they all try to race you.  I dunno, seems like they all have big ego trips and need to flaunt there masculinity through an overworked 4 banger engine.  But, you just have to take that in stride though, I mean, so what, they can beat me in a race, eventually they park there car and they'll get out of it and be another punk rice-boy, while I still get to be me.

 

3rd pet peeve would be why do girls always go for the ricer boys???  I was at a festival tonight and all of the best looking girls were holding onto these scrawny, short little guys wearing clothes that are 8x too big and *shudder* visors.  I mean, there rice burner must be cool.

I hate it when women won't give up the right away.....I was at a 4 way stop, stopped before her, was going, then I get honked at because she apparently thought she should have gone..... And yes its mostly women that don't yield the right of way most of the time.  

 

 

I really hate people in gas stations around here that will speak arabic with their buddies around me while I'm paying or something....That makes me wanna beat the lil F***kers butt.

Mean people, hypocrites, inconsiderate a$$hole$, bigots, and the vast majority of my coworkers who are misererable, negative, whiners.  Oops...those are dislikes, not peeves.

 

Although I do like (most) happy people.

 

Biggest pet peeve:  People who drive in the left hand lane.  I don't care how fast you "think" you're going, pass left and drive right.  And use your turn signal when changing lanes.

Pet peeves...

 

The people that make these laws for the good of the "people".

Examples: (1) It is against the law to drive without wearing a seatbelt in SC.  95% of the time I wear my seat belt, but it is not the governments right to tell me I have to do so.(2) A lady at the local Wal-mart popped her 6year old son on the butt 2 times after repeatedly asking him to stop pulling things off of the shelf and throwing them on the floor...She was arrested and removed from the store in handcuffs due to a "concerned citizens" complaint.(the child left in a different patrol car) (3) Welfare recipients fileing complaints about my in-laws hog farms smell located in the middle of nowhere, where they chose to live (10 miles to a gas station, 25 miles to a grocery store).  BTW, my inlaws live about 1/2 mile from the hog farm, and they live closer than anyone else.

People that wont move into a vacant lane of traffic to let you onto the interstate.
