muffled on data

So gonna re-pipe a 1995 GMC SLT from the manifolds, it is all bent up, so what i need is anyone got info as to the distance of the o2 bung to the CAT nose after the 2x1 tube where the bung is? i don't want it too close and burn the cat up or too far and it dump fuel.

With how far the o2 sensor already is from the manifolds themselves you really just need to put it very close to the merge section of the exhaust. I assume being a 1995 it only has 1 upstream o2 sensor then?

 

1996 with OBD2 has 4 sensors, 1 before and after the cat on each side.

 

Put the sensor in and the cat converter can go directly after it, within a few inches no problem.

it has about 13 inches stacked up in 3 inch pieces it broke at the yoke of the 02 y. why i asked it was dumping fuel high hc before the rock found the underside. too far out?
