Possible bad BCM

Went to start suburban yesterday and the dash was completely dark and wouldn't start (push start) Dome lights were on. I could press lock/unlock on door but key fob basically wouldn't do anything. The anti theft light was flashing when I tried to start. We disconnected and reconnected the battery and it cranked right up. Turned car off then it happened again on start up. Disconnected and reconnected battery again and it started again. No check engine lights. No warning before this other than a slight clicking noise coming from near the wheel.. about a week I've noticed this. Everything I google points to a bad BCM. I wanted to get a second opinion. I really hate to bring it to the dealership when I can purchase this part from GMDIRECTPARTS.COM for $93 bucks. Anyone have an opinion on this? I greatly appreciate your input!

Did you ever figure out if it was the BCM? My Tahoe is doing the same thing.
