Ive been looking for a tire that is bigger but doesnt weigh a ton, i can across a nitto terra grappler g2 in a 116s rating that is only 51 lbs. The stock duratracs are 113Q so technically they should have more load capability than the stock duratracs even though they are LT rated and the nittos are not? Any thoughts on this?

Are you looking to reduce the weight of the suspension to improve ride? Look at better shocks if that’s the case.

I avoided the 20” wheels this time on my truck as my last one had 20” wheels and with tire I bet it was 100 lbs per wheel. Over rough roads it was a pig and could not take pot hole hits well. I’m running standard 17” now and much happier with the ride in all situations. It’s a truck so trying to make it into a sports car always confused me!

Goal is to maintain ride and fuel mileage while going to a larger tire. Imo half tons dont need E rated tires, but most bigger tires are E rated
