IF YOU ARE 4X4 COST IS ANY  WHERE FROM $1500-2000 FOR LABOR TO DO DELETE.I DON'T KNOW WHAT PLANET THEY DO IT FOR $500.00 ON.YOU CAN'T EVEN GET 1 HEAD PULLED AND LIFTER REPLACED FOR  $500.00 LABOR . UNLESS YOU HAVE A SHOP CHARGING YOU $25.00/HOUR I DON'T SEE THAT $500.00 PRICE.YOU HAVE TO EVEN HAVE TO DROP THE OIL PAN TO DO THIS.ABOUT $1000.00 IN PARTS IF YOU ARE GOING TO ADDRESS OIL PUMP AND TIMING COMPONENTS WHILE YOU'RE IN THERE.IT IS A GOOD 15-20 HOUR JOB. DIABLO MAKES A GOOD TUNER NOT REAL EXPENSIVE AND ALLOWS SOME DECENT ADVANCED TUNE OPTIONS LIKE AFM DISABLE, TIRE SIZE(IF YOUR TRUCK IS LIFTED TO CORRECT SPEEDO) GOVERNOR OFF , SHIFT POINTS ETC.

That's why you shop around - not every shop charges the same rate and some of the better shops will charge more because "you pay for what you get", which I'd be okay with that knowing good quality workmanship is behind the cost. Other shops up and coming that know they are good need to build a reputation and will charge less to gain a customer base and adjust accordingly. Frankie is a good guy on here, if he says it cost him $500 then it cost him $500. Higher 4x4 traffic areas like TX will have better rates with more work coming in than somewhere like MI where most shops around here are Jeep shops due to Silver Lake and all of our sand dunes.

THE POST WAS TO SAY THE VALVE TRAIN IS GARBAGE AND PRONE TO FAILURE AT 1000 OR 100,000 MILES.IF A TRUCK HAS TO HAVE THE FACTORY DESIGN ALTERED TO BE DEPENDABLE IS IT REALLY A GOOD TRUCK???

So what is your plan then?  Fix it with the same lifters? Better lifters? Or sell the truck. I don’t get the point of your posts.

IF YOU READ THE POST YOU WOULD KNOW I ALREADY DID THE AFM DELETE.MY POINT IS ANY TRUCK WITH AFM IS A SHITTY TRUCK AND YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE TO REPLACE YOUR VALVETRAIN TO MAKE THE ENGINE RIGHT.

So you came here to complain and look for attention. 
Your right. You shouldn’t have to replace with ls7 lifters. But this issue is common since they started doing this. Just as all the issues with diesels and their exhausts, to meet epa guidelines. Blame the epa for increasing the requirements for fuel economy. 
ls7 lifters are bullet proof. Do it once and be done if it happens again. Or sell the truck

go complain that you bought a defective truck on Facebook for attention. This is a forum for help, and feedback and learning new information. You came here with the intent to complain and to look for attention and it clearly shows with each additional post you make.

Well the guy that did it works at the Chevy Dealership but he did it on the side at his house, trust me I know I looked at a few shops they were charging 1200-2500$ for labor... Im telling them what I paid for it no reason to lie I’m sure if u looked around you could of find a decent price. No reason to change the oil pump unless u wanna waste more money, my truck runs excellent no problems been a year an 3 months and 32,000 miles later.

OBVIOUSLY YOU DID NOT READ THE POST. MY TRUCK IS FIXED. I HAD THE CAM SWAP IS DONE I COULD CARE LESS ABOUT"GETTING ATTENTION".I GUESS I DO SOUND LIKE I AM COMPLAINING BECAUSE I AM.BUT OBVIOUSLY THAT IS NOT WHAT THIS FORUM IS ABOUT. THANKS FOR THE ADVICE ON WHERE TO REDIRECT THE BLAME.IF YOU DON'T THINK GM IS RESPONSIBLE PUT YOUR HEAD BACK IN THE SAND. DONE WITH THIS FORUM . PEACE
