Hi All....

Just brought home my 2020 RST 3.0 Duramax. Going to be installing a dash cam and need to know what fuse location gives me an accessory power source with power retention.

Thanks in advance....

I installed an amp and subs in my truck.  i used the HVAC fuse On the passenger side thinking there would be no power after the truck is shut off, but it does keep power.  The way i looked at it was id know if the fuse blew because my air wouldn't work. lol.

I have a center console. In past trucks, I'd tap into the cigarette lighter. Does someone have some pictures of how to remove the console.

I just wired my dash cam today, and the easiest way to do this is go to NAPA and buy a Micro2 fuse tap.

Remove the any fuse (always on, or On with ACC) and place the tap in its location, then put the old fuse and a new one in, and you're done.

Can you be a bit more specific here? What fuse you used? I thought there are two places to tap. One for accessory and one for battery (constant) power? Plus a ground wire. Also what size fuse did you use for the dash cam? 3amp?  5amp? Thank you for any further info
