Gear indicator goes out

2005 1500 5.3 157k. Start it up and works fine. Goes in to all the gears and lights up what gear its in. Drive it a little bit idk if hitting brakes makes it go away? It goes away in P R N. Shows up in Drive 3 2 1. Had gauge replaced with fully rebuilt cluster 5 years ago. Way to fix it? Shift cable needs adjustment? Nuetral safety ? Big thing with it is doesn’t know its in park so doors dont auto unlock.

Cluster issue.  If your handy, might be able to re-solder the contact.  If not, refurbished cluster.
