Anyone see the new SSRs yet?

Friday night after leaving menards and getting on the expressway I looked over at the chevy dealer and noticed one in the window (red). It sure did stand out. They are pretty unique. So unique i almost went through a red light looking at it

Saw one at the stealer the other day.....through the window......driving by......

 

It may be a cool car but.....I didn't stop. I can't stand sales people....I feel like I need a shower after just talking to them in passing.

 

I might go check it out tomorrow though. Before my morning shower....Maybe they will keep their distance.

I took a yellow one for a spin about a month ago. My buddy brought over a company vehicle

 

5.3l - 300hp

Available in three colors for 03 - Yellow, Red and Black. All Automatics. I heard only 3500 units for 2003.

 

Car is great to drive, actually has a throaty sound in the exhaust. Does feel heavy, but what the hell, it's a slightly modified truck frame (Trailblazer/Envoy).

Turned off traction control and found out there is a posi rear end turning the 20" wheels in the back (19" in the front).

Over all, for $41K I'd take this over the SS any day

First off, this needs a drop, chrome stock wheels and a Whipple

 

We took it to a local car show today and I lost track of how many people wanted to see the top go up and down

 

Suprisingly, the hood and all outer panels are steel. The fascias (of course) and a few extension panels are 'plastic'.

I saw a yellow one driving down I43 last week. I had to look twice to recognize what it was.

My neighbor already bought one. A local dealer baught one at an auction on Saturday.

I see a red one regularly on I-96 between Brighton and Lansing. I also see a couple Colorados there daily.

The only colors that matter, at least to me. Although a hugger orange might note be too bad. Still I like the bold and classic colors. And yeah, if I had $40k to dump on a truck, this is probably the toy I'd choose. I love the styling, and with the 5.3 there will be tons of add-on's.

I've seen quite a few in the Farmington/Novi area. They still look funny to me. I do like the Colorados that I've seen lately. I followed a nice Z71 up Telegraph on the way home from work last week.

I Saw a black one about the first week they were available, it seems a while back. They look good, but seem to unpractical, more so than the new T-bird

I'm not positive, but I believe that blue was for the Pace trucks and the first few trucks which will be auctioned off for different charities
