I've been toying with doing the upfitter switches for awhile, but after reading some great install threads on them I'm starting to wonder if it's worth it -vs- just using aftermarket aux switches.   Mostly because I don't like the fact the factory ones are labeled just Aux1-5, and I don't really see the benefit of the factory setup, especially since the control connections are not under the hood like Ford does.  So I still have to run all the control wires from my devices through the firewall or into the cab, and behind the dash to the switches.   If I was running a snow plow I could see it since one of the switches goes up to the third brake light.   So perhaps I'm missing it but it just seems like there's little benefit.   If they had some of the control wires run under the hood, perhaps one to the rear of the truck, I'd be more tempted.

Thanks,

Todd

I have this kit sitting in my garage waiting to install all my lighting.  Gives me way more lighting options, and the switch panel is a nice aluminum piece.  It will be installed on front of my center console, and the relay box will be under the hood mounted to the fuse box

I got the sPod bantam because of more connections, programmable, ease of installation. I like the look of the upfitter switches but they weren't quite what I wanted.

I really like this little guy that might be the way to go, they make a little smaller 6 switch version that would be fine for me, I can't imagine ever using more than 4, but never hurts to have some extra.

I think just a nicer, more factory look. Never been a fan of those switch panels people add. I also just extended the wires from the back of the switches into the engine bay when installed so it’s easy to add stuff later.
