wire guage?

Does anyone know off hand what is the wire guage size for the headlight wires on our trucks? I'm thinking either a 12 or 14 guage wire?

 

I'm doing the quad light mod tomorrow and need to pick up the wires for the relay.

before I go home, and didnt' take the truck today to work

You would thik headlight wires would be 12 or 14 gauge, but I don't think they are that big, they look more like 16 or 18 by looking at it. This is why you see reports of the wires having a meltdown from some of the available hi-4 systems that don't use relays and new wire. Personally I am going to add an upgrade kit from suvlights or Caspers Electronics before converting to hi-4.
