I have a 2020 Sierra Elevation with the baby max in it and trying to find a spot to install a 20” single amber LED bar for inclimate weather. I initially wanted to put it below the license plate but it’s all

soft plastic. And I’ve noticed no one makes a mount for it for behind the grill

or anything yet. Any help is appreciated.

Rough Country used to make one for the GMC Sierra on the 14-18 model years.  They have a new model for the Chevrolet Silverado 19/20.  Maybe they have one in the works for the new Sierra?

For reference this is the chevy model.

Here is the older GMC model.

Thanks! I appreciate that. I’m taking it to my buddy who does fabrication. I’ll keep you updated hopefully with the results. There is so much soft plastic on these trucks now so im lost on where to begin

Problem with the GMC is that it doesn’t work with the trim levels with the active shutters. Which is most of them from ‘16-‘18.

As a flashlight snob, these numbers are ..ouch

4800 Lumens (pair)
60 Watts (pair)

It's not a Maglite from the 80s but that's not a lot of lumens for the power consumption.  Acebeam, Imalent, Olight are all making flashlights at not 4,800 lumens..... but 20,000 and even up to 100,000.  Anyone make anything more robust?

ie, If I am going to do it, I'm going to be on the "go big or go home" ideology.  I don't see any reason that 500,000+ lumens isn't easily achievable.

Uhhh, I'm not sure how I can make it anymore clear.  The lights mentioned at 4,800 lumens for the pair (2,400 each).  By today's LED standards, that's candlelight

You could be more clear actually. These only thing mentioned was a 20” light bar. One single light bar, not a pair of anything. If you’re talking about what someone else posted,  then I have no idea what you’re talking about. And good luck finding a light bar or headlight with true 500,000 lumen.

Thanks for proving my theory.  To be very clear here.  This is the link above for to 19/20 models which is the forum you are in.

I mentioned that this was a bit underpowered by today's standards

You asked "huh" and I explained

As for finding something that is 500,000 lumen, I likely won't as no one very few want to spend a grand on a bar, but I would.  Different strokes

Ok that’s not a 20” light bar in the link and it’s for a Chevy not a GMC. Someone was just posting an idea of what could possibly be if RC decided to make something. I’m curious if anyone has made a bracket, not about unreachable lumens in a light bar

Man that crap is just pure marketing. You name a bunch of crappy Chinese flash light and weapon light companies and tout 100,000 lumens.

Rigid Industries E Series 40” light bar costs $1500 and is only rated for like 41K lumens.

Do you really think your crappy Olight pushing 100k lumens is going to be better and brighter than the Rigid?

Guys, so much back and forth here but nobody has mentioned that BajaDesigns makes a bar specifically for grill-mount for this truck (I happen to have the same bar in my Tundra, likely will pull it for this new rig):

https://camburg.com/shop/accessories/acc-lighting/baja-designs-chevy-1500-19-20-s8-led-grill-light-bar-kit/

https://www.theretrofitsource.com/Grille-Mount-LED-System-GMC-Sierra-18-20?quantity=1

Compatible with shutter system.

Can be had with yellow lens or mixed. (interchangeable).
