Today I installed the following splash guards from Chevrolet Accessories.

Front Splash Guards - GM 84649174
Rear Splash Guards - GM 84109906

The install is pretty straight forward but the instructions from GM are not as clear as I felt they could have been and should have been. Specifically ways that could have made things a little easier and thorough.

For example, the use of a u-nut as a regular nut. (Grab your pliers and hold it in place while you tighten your screw, your fingers will thank you.)

If anyone has any questions, feel free to ask away and I’ll answer as I can

Yes, but only one 5mm hole in the front fender flares. I used a little touch up paint on the inside edge of the hole and the GM Super Lube as recommended. Reportedly the Super Lube, which is made with Teflon, is the best thing since sliced bread. I would say in 5-10 years it would be a good idea to removed the screw and reapply lube after cleaning the area.
