When I bought it the dealer said it would not fit, probably a sales pitch to buy the slt or higher trim but I can measure mine if you'd Ike and we can compare

I’m interested for the Silverado side of things. Noticed they added it this year to the higher trims. Stepdad has it on Sierra. Wife and I love it. He uses his all the time. If it’s not too pricey and able to. Would love to switch to this on my truck.

I thought someone here priced out the parts new and it’s like a $3000 tailgate plus paint. Probably why it hasn’t been done. Cheaper to trade the truck.

It is an awesome feature, there are plenty of junkyards with them, just have tk be patient and search

There’s some HD take offs on eBay for $2850 and $3200. Those aren’t the same as the 1500 tailgates though. Also a dented black one that someone dropped on their hitch for $2400. I dunno, maybe I’m the only one who thinks this is stupidly expensive to attempt. No telling that the thing even plugs in and works either. I’m sure the BCM is involved in its operation.

Ya I agree with OnTheReel with this one. I’m interested but if it’s gonna be around $3k. I’ll wait 3 years and buy a new left over 2023 with all of it plus super cruise and updated interior.

July 2020 i bought a lightly damaged 1500 multiflex tg . rebuilt it with new GM parts and installed on my 19RST , all good except the upper tg accuators will not function. power and ground is good switch is good. Dec. 20 traded19 for a 21 with 3.0 duramax. installed tailgate, same issue. Jan. 21 my GM dealer says its a bcm issue and GM won't release program info because the Chevy Mflex Tg has not been officially released yet.  going to try and bypass the bcm.for upper accuators. The 19+ trucks owner manuals show the fuse locations for the MP/ MF TG's and the fuse blocks have all fuses except one on the 19,  21 has all fuses in place.   also FYI the new body style tailgates are not interchangeable from 1500 to 2500 etc . the 2500 Tg's are about an inch shorter in height and will not line up at the latch's since they are shorter...neither pieces of the 2500 MF TG's are  interchangeable to a 1500.

any info on getting the complete TG to function properly will be greatly appreciated.

has any one checked to see if a new body style 2500 hood will fit a NBS 1500 truck? or has anyone fitted a 2500 oem hood scoop on their 1500?
