Anyone install these liners from Rough Country? Do they really do anything as far as protecting the rear components from water/rust? I like the look of them but is there any real functionality?

I installed the Husky liners and had to modify them considerably to get them to fit.  Maybe these will fit better.  Based on my experience I wouldn't recommend the Husky liners.

The Rough Country liners I got for my 2016 were more like a do it yourself kit.  Like Mac-427 I had to cut a couple of inches off of them to make them fit.

They were okay to keep the rocks from chipping the paint but were loud. Some don't like the factory liners but at least they deaden some of the noise. The Rough Country liners just change the pitch.

I installed husky’s and love them. Didn’t need to modify at all, so not sure what the other person had to do. Was a very simple install, and cleaning them is so much easier than gm’s felt liners.

None at all. The fronts have the felts, which help, but IMO road noise doesn’t change at all with the Husky’s in the rear.

I put the factory felt ones in the rear and they have held up nicely.  Buttoned right up and only had to cuss and swear at 1 clip that I can remember.  Noise seems to be slightly lower but that could be my imagination.

The issue with the Husky liners depends how fussy you are with the fit.  In my case, I wanted to make sure all the screw holes aligned perfectly and the bottoms of the liners tucked in behind the  stock factory splash deflectors.  As a consequence, I had to shorten the Husky liners and test fit them several times before I achieved a factory like fit.  If I had it to do over, I'd get the factory liners rather than anything after market.

Maybe you got a bad batch? Mine fit perfectly.
