help with muffler

Hi, I put a Magnaflow muffler on my HD about 2 months ago, (part # 14590, SS, dual 3" in one 3" out). I wanted a little throatier sound and a little better breathing. Things are fine except when I'm below 2000 rpm, then I have a constant incab droning which is really starting to get to me. Right now I'm seriously considering going back to the stock muffler, anyone have any suggestions as to a better setup that won't resonate below 2000 rpm? Thanks for any feedback.

My magnaflow made alot of vibration and resonance in the cab. :seeya: I switched to flowmaster out the back instead of out of the side, and now there is no in cab vibration/resonance. But outside of the vehicle it is louder!!!!:mad: I think having the pipe out the back instead the side made the biggest difference. I also noticed it being quieter after I had the truck undercoated and the bed spray-lined. Maybe I am nuts, but I am sure it is better!! (it's okay as long as I think I am right) :D

I think you would like the Flowmaster Bigblock 70 series. I have it on my 5.3 and it is quiet but still has the flowmaster rumble.

Hendyphoto, that is one tough looking truck.

6.0L with Flowmaster 70 big block muffler, dual 3" in & dual 2.5" out with two 18"x3.5" tips. Sound is deep out side not to loud in side. Call Flowmaster teck (800-544-4761) some employees there have a little different set up with less in cab noise.
