I’d go with Hooke Road grab handles or even side steps as good budget-friendly mods. The grab handles add a lot of convenience, especially on bumpy trails, and make getting in and out way easier.

I have 2 mods that I have done that sets the truck apart from the others and were relatively easy to install.

#1 Tailgate Light Bar - I ordered a OPT7 60-inch from Amazon. Wiring was relatively easy. I did remove the tailgate to get easier access to the install area. If you have small fingers you might not need to. Make sure you stick it low enough to just clear the tailgate because once you stick it on you will bend the bar trying to remove it. This mod took around 2 hours but most of that was spent trying to peel part of it off when I noticed I placed it too high, and it interfered with the tailgate.

#2 LED Reverse Lights - There are so many out there that it is overwhelming to pick. I chose Auxbeams but many of the cheaper ones are likely similar. Install was very easy and took less than 15 minutes.

Both of these combined costs less than $200 which in the world of truck mods I would consider it pretty cheap. Also, you can replace the rest of the non-led lights (front turn and license plate).
