Swapping out IFS for Solid Axle in 2020 RST 6.2L?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen this done or have any info on what type of axle would work...? A Dana 60...? Is there a Chevy axle I can use? I want a 4 link setup to lift it 15" or higher? I don't want a 18" FTS with a HUGE front crossmember, etc. My truck has the 12 bolt rear. I had a guy at East Coast Gears recommend a Dana 60 and a 14 bolt??? Any thought/recommendations? And no...I didn't want a 2500, 3500, etc... I don't understand these guys on here that are dogging out there own 6.2's? Truck is a BEAST...420hp factory & a 10speed... I've had Zero issues with mine. I know somebody is gonna say..."not until you do the swap, lol..."

It's been a while since GM had straight axle front that could be used as a donor. I think the best place to start would be F250 axles as they are cheap and have many ratios. From there it's just a couple hundred hours of custom fab work.
