recently acquired a single cab second hand with the 4.3 [emoji17]. but it only came with a key. it doesnt have power locks or power windows. im wanting to add aftermarket power windows/locks and remote start to it. but for all of that i need a remote key fob.

How do i put this ^ key fob in pairing/program mode so that i can program power locks and remote start to it.

Or if anyone has any better experience with this let me know. open to new ideas.

You need a GM Tech 2 or a higher end scan tool like a Snap On Solus/Modis to go into the BCM and activate the remote programming mode.

However, if you have crank windows and manual locks, it won't program as there is no RCDLR (remote control door lock receiver) in the truck.  It has the Tire Pressure Sensor Module, but its strictly for tire sensors.

If the truck had power locks but no remotes, it would be able to accept a factory remote.  You will have to go full aftermarket with all of it, remote included.

No.  You can't add the factory remote at all.  The remote doesn't possess the programming function, its all in the truck.  You have to go aftermarket with the remote because the truck is manual locks/windows.
