Green Stuff

Ok well the side (heated) mirror on the drivers side of the Hoe cracked and started to leak some green stuff. The dealer said it the green stuff was due to the heating function of the mirror. Well since this green stuff is exiting the mirror and there is a bit of wind while on the interstate, there is now a nice green drip on the rear door that won't come off. Any ideas on how to get this stuff off?

Is it sticky stuff, or hard stuff?

The liqiud came off but it left a nice little stain on the white paint.

A little rubbing compound should do it nicely.

 

Or....If you don't like abrasives, try some Simple Green....It works on green stuff, right?

I'll have to see what the dealer says. The mirror cracked while it was being adjusted (power) but they will try to say it was a rock. They better cover it under warrantee. If all else fails just have to trade it in on another one.

Hopefully they will cover it under warranty. How can a rock hit it when it is facing backwards?

have you tried a lil' dish soap mixed in warm water? If that doesn't get it i'd say try a clay bar. Make sure you wax it again afterwards.

Yea it is, but my mom wants a Yukon now.

Dealer fixed under warantee. They said the heating element blew up and caused the mirror to crack (which also caused double vision in the mirror) They even got the green stuff off the door.
