Looking for some information about my 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali, I purchased the vehicle used from a gmc dealer in February. Upon receiving the vehicle the dealership lost one of the key fobs happen to be key fob #1, they had a new fob made for me. So I currently have key fob #2 and the new fob #3 is there any way to get the truck to recognize fob #3 as #1 so the seats will adjust automatically upon starting the vehicle?

Thanks in advance

Do you have the owners manual? I have a Silverado. There is a process in the Silverado manual, under keys, doors and windows  for deleting all remotes & starting over. The manual says it take about 30 minutes to complete.

Your dealer should have reprogrammed all of the remotes to give you access to all the features of the Denali.

iirc,  the manual has instructions for key programming, but says a dealer has to do the fob programming.

The only workarounds would be to have the dealer delete the keys from the truck all together and add them in from scratch driver #1 and #2 or the 30 minute procedure which is the same thing but you doing it.

the truck only knows what you program it as, ie; 1 or 2

Us the owners manual and set fob number 27 1/2 or whatever as you want it to perform, I assure you that you don't have to delete any fobs.

My Silverado manual has instructions for fob programing.

So it seems there is conflicting info in the 21 sierra manual.

2021 Sierra manual has a several pages of instructions for programming keys but for FOB it says:

Programming Transmitters to the Vehicle
Only RKE transmitters programmed to this vehicle will work. If a transmitter is lost or stolen, a replacement can be purchased and
programmed through your dealer. Each vehicle can have up to eight transmitters programmed to it.

See your dealer for transmitter programming.

BUT...

A few pages later in the manual they give instructions for programming additional ones if 'two recognized transmitters' are available, and another set of instructions for if 'two recognized transmitters' are not available.
