I'm getting the tire sensor warning on one of the tires on my son's 2014 Silverado.  We took it to the tire shop that has replaced the other 3 over the past 1-2 years.  They installed the new sensor, but can't get it to work.  They say the truck won't recognize the new sensor and have made up (what seem to be BS) excuses about why.  They've said everything from their "machine" isn't working to the offset must be too much on the Fuel wheels....the same wheels that work for the other 3 sensors.  Any ideas what may be wrong?  This place is usually great and has a good reputation.  I even suggested trying another sensor, that maybe the one they installed was bad.  They said it registers when the tire is broken down,. but not when installed and inflated.  It just makes no sense.

It is, definitely, the sensor on the rim.
I went through this after having my BFG 35s installed.
One of my sensors quit responding. I even bought an Autel TPMS tool to reprogram it.
Took it back to the dealer, they replaced the pressure sensor on the rim and, now, all is good.
They mentioned with larger tires the signal has to go through a thicker tire profile - my tires are load range E.
So, a weak signal will cause the issue you have.
