3rd Brake light on a 1997 GMC truck???

LMC and GM don't have the primary parts for the 3rd brake light assembly anymore. Looking for links to forums or places that might have this entire part or even just the body gasket would be great at this point.

You might try auto parts stores in your area.

Finding a new OEM part is going to hard. Other options are junkyards if you have those around you.

 

Ebay and likely Amazon have aftermarket options for those trucks though, they are usually a LED version though.

i have an LED version and it looks better than oem , just remember to cut the yellow wire and tape it up , other wise , brake light stays on , wont drain battery , but will stay on , you will see what i mean once you plug it in

 the gasket for them is not avail anywhere , i used a piece of a 3mm wetsuit and made one, seals very well

You have an LED one that fits? Do you have a link to it? Most are utter crap.

Everything is Chinese crap. I just don't understand why GM abandoned this gasket, it's an important gasket.
