Dual Battery System Silverado 2011

Good day,

 

i am planning to install a Dual battery system but wanted to know if the Silverado 1500 Crew cab 2011 have a smart alternator system - as this will influence the the dual system that i need to install?

 

can anyone advise, Thx

From what I recall they started the computer controlled charging systems all the way back in like 2006ish.

 

So yes, that 2011 has a smart system that will vary the charging voltage based on the needs of the vehicle, battery state and what the computer says.
